19 Weeks!!!

This is my 18 week belly photo

Pregnancy Highlights

How Far Along: 19 Weeks today.

Size of baby: Baby H is the size of an heirloom tomato and weighs 8 1/2 ounces. (length: 6 inches, head to bottom)

Maternity Clothes: I just bought my first maternity clothes. I went to Old Navy last weekend a bought these jeans.

Love, Love, Love them. They were so stylish and comfortable that I bought two pair. I also bought 2 sweaters. My belly is getting bigger and I feel like none of my pants fit right now so I'm going to have to get some more clothes soon.

Gender: We find out in 8 days!!!!

Movement: Yep. I've been feeling little movements here and there. It's amazing!!!

Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good for now. We got a new mattress so that helps.

Cravings: I'm really into sweets (cookies mostly), fruit, pasta, muffins, and yogurt. I don't like a lot of spicy foods right now because it gives me heartburn and salty foods turn me off too.

Symptoms:
I'm feeling pretty good. Haven't been sick in a while. I'm still tired and have some aches and pains in my back and tail bone area. I also have some heart burn but not too bad.

Best Moment this week: Nothing too eventful this week happened. However, I did get to go to lunch with my friend Shanda and her 2 month old baby, Adele. She cried and fussed the entire lunch, which gave me a glimpse into the future.

Well that's it for now.

2 Weeks!!!! and Boy Nursery

2 weeks from today we will find out if we will have a little boy or girl. I can't believe it. It's seems like we've been waiting forever already so what's another two weeks. I'm really happy to be almost half way done with pregnancy.

Well I've shown you my sneak peak of the girl nursery design. So now I will show you the boy.

I wanted something ultra modern and fresh for the boy's room. I love the chocolate brown and light blue combination. I think either way this is going to be a fun project. Enjoy!!!!

Check-Up

Yesterday I had my doctor's appt. Everything is right on track. My blood pressure is good and other tests look good, so that is a major blessing. Baby's heart rate was at a solid 148bpm. I gained a little more weight than I thought I had, but I guess that's okay. After not being able to eat for months, I find myself wanting to eat everything in sight so no wonder I gained some weight.

The most exciting news is my ultrasound is scheduled 2 weeks from Friday on November 5th!!!! I can't wait. We are praying for a healthy baby no matter what, but we are so excited to start calling and praying for this baby by name.

We do have two names picked out for sure. Both start with an H so the baby is referred to as Baby H for now. We are planning on sharing the name with everyone once we find out if its a boy or a girl.

On Friday night I was laying on the couch real still watching T.V. when I started to feel a lot of fluttering inside. I've felt these movements already but this time they were really distinct. Then all the sudden I felt 3 kicks one right after another. I just know it was the baby. Couldn't have been anything else. It was amazing. I felt a few more last night. I'm so thankful to be out of the yucky faze of pregnancy and the amazing part is starting.

I'll leave you with my 17 week belly shot and look for my post soon on the boy nursery design.

Nursery Inspiration

So I've been looking through magazines, websites, etc. to come up with the perfect theme for our baby's nursery. I've changed my mind a lot. I finally think I have what I want to do for the girl's room and almost everything I want to do for the boy's.

I'll show you some of the things I'm thinking for the girl's room first. I new I didn't want anything too traditional or standard. This is my daughter after all. I still wanted something feminine and unique and girlie without using the typical pink and purple theme. This is what I've come up with. Mind you this is subject to change at any time.

Color Scheme

Crib from JC Penny

Crib Bumper fabric
I plan on finding a dresser and painting it the raspberry pink like this one.

Dresser Hardware

Crib Bumper Fabric

Wallpaper from Anthropologie
Crib Skirt and Pillow

Plush Bunny

Cream Curtains with color pom pom trim

Well that's a start. I have so many more ideas to come. Stay tune for the boy's room and a post about my appointment on Monday. Happy Weekend :)

Whoa Baby!!!

Wow these weeks are flying by now that I'm not sick every minute of every day. I'm really starting to ease into this whole pregnancy thing. I'll be 17 weeks on Thursday and things are progressing nicely. I go back to the doctor on Monday which I'm very much looking forward to. In recent developments, I have begun to have what is called as round ligament pain. If I get up too quickly or cough really hard I will have sharp pains in my abdomen. It's just because the baby is getting bigger and my uterus is expanding so the ligaments surrounding the uterus are stretching. The pains only last seconds but they are pretty intense. I'm no longer sick. Yay!!! I haven't thrown up in over a week and I've only experience a little bit of nausea on and off mostly at night. I'm still extremely tired. I work at least 8 hours a day so when I get home I am wiped out. I'm sleeping pretty good, but will sleep even better once Brandon and I get our new mattress. We got one that was memory foam, but it was too hard. So we are looking into a pillow top. Well that's it for now. I'll leave you with a progression of belly picks from the last few weeks. At this rate I'm going to look like I swallowed a beach ball by March :)
