Christmas Card Photos

After Thanksgiving dinner we decided to take some family photos for our Christmas card. I'm so glad we did, because that weekend it got really cold and nasty and it's been pretty nasty outside ever since. Here are the best from that day.

My Dad and Nana tagged along so we got some 4 generation photos with them as well.

Thanksgiving 2011

I'm getting a little behind on blogging. Who has time to blog? I can't believe I haven't even posted about Thanksgiving.

We had a great Thanksgiving. We hosted at our house this year. It was really special because we got to share Hannah's first Thanksgiving with both my mom and dad and both of my grandmas :) So fun!!!

We ate a lot and then we ate some more out at Brandon's dad's house. I love sharing all of Hannah's first holidays with family. Makes it so special.

Hannah Kate is 8 Months Old!!!

Another month has come and gone in a blink of an eye. Our lives have been pretty busy lately with the arrival of Harlan and Thanksgiving. Hannah has been growing and growing. She changes all the time. She has become such an outgoing baby and laughs and smiles all the time.

Stats from this month:
Weight & Height? Last time we went to the doc you weighed 19lbs
-You wear all sizes now. Mostly 6-9 months though
-You were sleeping great for about a month. 7pm-6:30am! But we've had a few hiccups with our sleep routine the last few nights and you started waking up again to eat :( It wears us out but I know it's just a faze.
-You take 4-5 7oz bottles a day
-You eat a fruit and oatmeal baby food in the morning and enjoy a veggie at night. You love all foods.
-You "talk" all the time and have said Dada several times. Wish you would've said Mama first. Ha!
-You love to sit up and play, but lately you are on the move. You started crawling backwards and rocking on all fours. I just know you are going to start crawling all over the place any day now. You also are a rolling machine. You roll all over the place, front to back then back to front.
-You cut 2 teeth in the last few weeks. It was a lot of work but they finally popped through. You look so cute :)

You are our angel and we look forward to all the wonderful memories we will make with you this 1st Christmas season. We love you so much HK!!!

Here are some pics from her 8 month shoot.

Welcome Harlan

From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.
~ John 1:16 from NIV

Our precious new and perfect gift arrived Friday, 11-18-11 at 4:47pm. My guess that morning was that he would be born at 4:36pm. Pretty good guess!

Mom and I got up early Friday and drove to Dallas. We got to the hospital around 12:30pm. I left Hannnah with Brandon. He's such an amazing dad so I knew he could handle it for a couple of days on his own.

Mr. Harlan Frazier Holmes entered the world with ease after a successful induction. Brittany and Jonathan got to the hospital Thursday night and by Friday mid-day she was laboring on her own. And at 4:47pm he was born. He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20.5 inches long. We were all so excited and nervous waiting out in the lobby for the good news.

We waited all day and around 6:30pm Jonathan finally brought him out for all to see. It was so special. My brother looked so proud of his baby boy and I'm so proud of him and Britt.

I was only in Dallas for a short time, but I got to hold him the day he was born and the day after and that meant so much to me.

Here are some photos they took in the hospital. He's so precious I can't believe he'll be already a month old the next time I see him. I miss him already :(

11/11/11

Today is Veterans Day. I would like to remember and honor my two grandfathers, Eddie Holmes and Ernie Frazier for their service during WWII. I don't have a picture of him, but I would like to remember and honor Brandon's grandfather, Tella Walker, as well for his service in WWII. I would also like to thank all the brave men and women who have fought or are still currently fighting for our freedom. May God bless you and keep you safe.
