10 Months Old!!!

I feel like I just posted her 9 month update, but Hannah turned 10 months last week. Only 2 more months til she's ONE!!! Wow! I don't know how to feel about that. I'm excited to start planning her party though. It's going to be a lot of fun.

Hannah is very active these days. We have to constantly watch her because as soon as you put her down somewhere she's in the next room getting into something. She is pretty clingy right now. She really just wants Mama and sometimes Daddy. She cries when we drop her off at day care which is not fun at all. I think she does well after we leave, but she has a hard time seeing us go. She is learning something new all the time. I think she likes to see how things work and try them herself. It's fun to see her smile because she's proud of herself. I love this stage we are in right now. She's still a baby, but is gaining independence daily. It's fun to watch her grow.

10 Month Stats:
-You weigh 20lbs 6 oz and are 28.5" long as of a week and a half ago. You've kinda slowed down on your growing, but your still gaining weight.
-You still wear a size 3 diaper but we'll be moving you into a size 4 soon.
-12 month clothes fit you best, but some 6-12 month clothes work too.
-You still go to bed around 7pm and wake up around 6:15am
-You still take about 4 6oz bottles a day
-You eat a fruit and oatmeal baby food in the morning and enjoy a veggie at night. We started having you eat lunch everyday too around noon. You like table foods but are just slow eating them.
-You are a crawling machine. I can't believe how much you are crawling. You have red knees every night from crawling all day.

-You started pulling up on everything, but not to a stand just on your knees.
-You love to open cabinets and drawers and get into everything. You love to explore everything.
-You like to stand, but have no interest in walking just yet.
-You still have only two teeth
-You smile and laugh all the time

-You are so vocal and "talk" all the time. I got you to say "Mama" the other day and it was so great!!!
-You stated waving a lot and its so cute
-You love music
-You were moved into your new class at day care and are adjusting well. You will be in there until you learn to walk.

-You have lots of facial expressions and crack us up with all the faces you make.
-You are very observant
-You are just so cute and lovable and make our lives better every day.

The dress in the pictures is one of mine when I was a baby. It's a little big on her, it's made for a young toddler, but I thought I'd put it on her anyway since it'll be summer before she would fit into it. Here's a picture of me wearing it:)

9 Months Photo Shoot

What can I say. This is one photographed little baby. I love taking pics of my little girl every month. Some times are more successful than others. This month was a little tricky. I was a little behind because of the holidays and just did these last week. But they are done and I think I got some good ones :)

Christmas 2011

Wow! It's been a while since I've blogged. Things have been a little crazy around our house. Hannah turned 9 months and on Christmas Day she crawled for the first time (forwards) to my dad. She's a busy bee these days and I'll have to blog her 9 month update this weekend to tell you all about it.

In the meantime, I'll just say we had a very nice Christmas. It was really busy and not relaxing, but it was fun. Hannah and I have both been battling colds since Christmas but she did pretty well despite not feeling well.

We spent Christmas Eve day at my mom's. My brother and Brittany came over and Hannah got to meet her cousin Harlan for the first time. It's so crazy to think she was ever that little. She liked him, but she really liked his paci and pulled it out of his mouth and stuck it in her's. It was hilarious!!!

It was a white and icy Christmas in Lubbock, but my aunt Carla and uncle Jay still managed to fly in safely from Dallas to join the fun. Hannah was a hit of course and ate Christmas lunch with us at the table. We hung out, ate, had dessert, and opened presents then it was time to leave. Time flies when your having fun and trying to take care of an active baby.

We left my mom's, went home and regrouped, and were off to our next Christmas at my dad's. He had decorated his house this year so even though I knew we would have a grouchy baby on our hands come 5 o'clock, we kept moving. We hung out at his house til about 6:30pm and got to spend more time with my brother and his crew. I was really nice.

Christmas morning we got up as usual and had sweet potato pancakes. Hannah was a little snot-faced and tired but she "opened" (played with the paper) her presents. I think she liked Christmas.

We then were off to church. Miss Priss looked pretty cute in her big red bow.

That afternoon we headed over to Britt's parents house for about an hour. Hannah was tired and there were about 30 people over there so we didn't stay long. We did managed to get some family photos though.

We left the Hill's and headed over to Brandon's brother's house for a bit before heading home and passing out from exhaustion.

We then did it all over again the next night with Brandon's family in Shallowater at his dad's. Hannah was running a fever that night and not in a good mood. Poor baby. Turns out she had an ear infection.

The Hughes Girls

Overall it was a very busy but very fun first Christmas with our sweet baby. Next year will be even better. Excited to see what the new year will hold for our family. Bring on 2012!!!
