Our Baby is 9 Months Old!!!

Well technically she's 9 1/2 months old. This past month was a big month for our little one, but the past two weeks have been even more eventful. Wow! She's really changing.

Here are HK's stats from this month:
-You weigh 20lbs 4 oz and are 28" long
-You wear mostly 6-12 months clothes, some 9 months and some 12 months
-You've been on a routine of going to bed around 7pm and waking up around 6:15am
-You started weaning off the bottle this month and eat only 1-7oz bottle at 6:30am, 1-5oz at 10am, 1-5 oz at 1pm and 1-5oz at 4:30pm
-You eat a fruit and oatmeal baby food in the morning and enjoy a veggie at night. We started having you eat lunch everyday too around noon.
-You've tried lots of table foods and you look so cute eating them
-You are now a mobile baby. You rock, sit, pull up on everything to your knees and on Christmas Day, you finally crawled forward. You get a little more confident with it every day. You crawled across the living room today and were pretty proud of yourself.

-You still have only two teeth
-You smile and laugh all the time
-You are so vocal and "talk" all the time
-You love your dog Teensy and think she's so funny
-You stated waving
-You are very ticklish under your arms
-You can make the movements to the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and it's so cute. You are so smart
-You are being moved into the next room at day care and I know you will be learning something new every day

Hannah you have changed so much. You are so special to us. You light up our lives every day and we can't get enough of you. Neither can anyone who meets you. You are so beautiful and smart and just as sweet as you can be. I can't believe in just 2 1/2 months you'll be ONE. Can't wait to start planning your 1st birthday party!!!

Christmas 2011

Wow! It's been a while since I've blogged. Things have been a little crazy around our house. Hannah turned 9 months and on Christmas Day she crawled for the first time (forwards) to my dad. She's a busy bee these days and I'll have to blog her 9 month update this weekend to tell you all about it.

In the meantime, I'll just say we had a very nice Christmas. It was really busy and not relaxing, but it was fun. Hannah and I have both been battling colds since Christmas but she did pretty well despite not feeling well.

We spent Christmas Eve day at my mom's. My brother and Brittany came over and Hannah got to meet her cousin Harlan for the first time. It's so crazy to think she was ever that little. She liked him, but she really liked his paci and pulled it out of his mouth and stuck it in her's. It was hilarious!!!

It was a white and icy Christmas in Lubbock, but my aunt Carla and uncle Jay still managed to fly in safely from Dallas to join the fun. Hannah was a hit of course and ate Christmas lunch with us at the table. We hung out, ate, had dessert, and opened presents then it was time to leave. Time flies when your having fun and trying to take care of an active baby.

We left my mom's, went home and regrouped, and were off to our next Christmas at my dad's. He had decorated his house this year so even though I knew we would have a grouchy baby on our hands come 5 o'clock, we kept moving. We hung out at his house til about 6:30pm and got to spend more time with my brother and his crew. I was really nice.

Christmas morning we got up as usual and had sweet potato pancakes. Hannah was a little snot-faced and tired but she "opened" (played with the paper) her presents. I think she liked Christmas.

We then were off to church. Miss Priss looked pretty cute in her big red bow.

That afternoon we headed over to Britt's parents house for about an hour. Hannah was tired and there were about 30 people over there so we didn't stay long. We did managed to get some family photos though.

We left the Hill's and headed over to Brandon's brother's house for a bit before heading home and passing out from exhaustion.

We then did it all over again the next night with Brandon's family in Shallowater at his dad's. Hannah was running a fever that night and not in a good mood. Poor baby. Turns out she had an ear infection.

The Hughes Girls

Overall it was a very busy but very fun first Christmas with our sweet baby. Next year will be even better. Excited to see what the new year will hold for our family. Bring on 2012!!!

Christmas Card Photos

After Thanksgiving dinner we decided to take some family photos for our Christmas card. I'm so glad we did, because that weekend it got really cold and nasty and it's been pretty nasty outside ever since. Here are the best from that day.

My Dad and Nana tagged along so we got some 4 generation photos with them as well.

Thanksgiving 2011

I'm getting a little behind on blogging. Who has time to blog? I can't believe I haven't even posted about Thanksgiving.

We had a great Thanksgiving. We hosted at our house this year. It was really special because we got to share Hannah's first Thanksgiving with both my mom and dad and both of my grandmas :) So fun!!!

We ate a lot and then we ate some more out at Brandon's dad's house. I love sharing all of Hannah's first holidays with family. Makes it so special.
