Hannah Kate 14 Months

May 23rd Hannah turned 14 Months!!! I'm exhausted. Month 13 was really hard because she was sick with an ear infection for the whole month. She has also been cutting teeth again lately and that has led to some cranky behavior.

14 Month Stats

• Weight? Not sure but probably around 22lbs
• Height? Let say 30.5"
• You wear mostly 18 month clothes
• You wear a size 4 diaper. It's still hard to put them on your squirmy body
• You go to bed around 7-7:30pm and sleep til 7-7:30am. You can stay up later with no problem, but we enjoy our "adult time" every night
• You go down really easy most nights, but some nights you like to "party" in your crib before falling asleep. Ha!
•  You eat 3 meals a day & eat two snacks
• You love snacks: crackers, cookies, goldfish :) 
• You are completely off bottles. Yay!!!
• We recently switched you to soy milk and you do great with it. You drink 3 sippy cups a day and 1 cup of water. We are trying to get you from drinking cows milk because we read it can cause runny noses and doesn't have as much benefits as soy does.
• You will try most table foods. You are pretty much off baby food all together. We still will feed you applesauce and yogurt, but you like to use a spoon and fork yourself too.
• You crawl everywhere and get into everything. You love to open cabinets and drawers
• You are still a cruiser only. You have no desire to walk on your own. You haven't even attempted. I think you could do it though if you wanted to. 
• You have 6 teeth and 2 more just broke trough. That makes 4 on top and 4 on bottom.
• You have a funny personality. You love to ham it up.
• You are a happy baby unless you are tired or sick
• Your cousin came to visit 2 weeks ago and you weren't so sure about him.
• You say "Mama" "Dada" "Bye-Bye" "Down" "All Done" (ah-do) "Hi" "Uh-Oh"
•  You've been signing "milk" a lot lately
• You love to clap your hands and dance to the music
• You have a fondness for throwing things
• You aren't really excited about the pool yet, but we hope that changes soon.

You are our little sunshine baby. We love you and can't wait to see what you will do next.

Our Weekend With Mr. H

This past weekend my mom had the absolute pleasure on taking care of my nephew Harlan. His parents ran off to Vegas for the weekend and didn't think that "Sin City" was the ideal place for a baby so they dropped him off with us. Harlan is such an easy baby. He smiles all the time and generally is really happy. He is a "pool of drool" though. He drools constantly and I was soaked with baby slobber after holding him for a while. He only gets fussy if he's hungry, tired, or wants to be held. He always wants to be held. He's such a cuddle bug. His Grammy had him at her house all weekend and did a great job, but I think she's pretty tired now. I'm pretty tired too.

Anyway he turned 6 months on Friday, so I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for a photo shoot. I love how they turned out. It's crazy how similar Hannah looks like me and Harlan looks like my brother. Or maybe they just remind everyone of the two of us. Anyway they are pretty cute :)

A Trip to Grandma's

We went to visit Brandon's Grandma this past weekend in OKC. It was a quick trip and a long drive, but we had so much fun. We love visiting her. She is the most vibrant 93 year old I know. She loved Hannah of course. We were planning a trip to the zoo on Friday, but it got rained out. We did however, see a few llamas and some ducks while we were there. Here are some pics. Enjoy :)

Mother's Day

Sunday was my second Mother's Day and I was reminded so much of how far I've come in a year. I'm so grateful to be Hannah's mom. She is my daughter and I'm so in love with her. She is my most precious gift from God.

I'm also grateful for the mothers who came before me.

To my Mamere, who showed me by example how to be a true woman of faith.
 
To my Nana, who showed me how to laugh and to find joy in life's simplest moments.

To Brandon's Grandma, who never gives up and keeps on going no matter how hard life gets.

To Brandon's mom, for giving him life and teaching him about God's love.

To my own mom, no words can express how deeply grateful I am for you. I am so thankful for your encouragement, your amazing strength, and your beautiful heart. Thank you for the prayers you've prayed for me. You are truly my best friend.

13 Months Old

Hannah is 13 Months old. Wow! My little baby is growing into a little girl before my eyes. So much has changed in a month. This is a little late, but we are currently looking like this photo below right now due to a stubborn ear infection that won't go away. Poor baby has been running a fever of 101-102 for the past two days and is just miserable.

Here are the stats for month 13:

• Weight: 21 lbs 10 oz
•  Height: 30 inches
• You wear sizes 12 month, 12-18 and 18 month clothes. 
• You wear a size 4 diaper
• You still sleep great. You go down really easy and sleep til 6:30am or 7am
• You don't take good naps at daycare, but you nap well at home on the weekends. You have even taken some 2 hour naps at home this month which is unheard of for you.
•  You are off formula. Yay!!! You drink 1 bottle still but soon you will be a full time sippy cup user. You have gotten so much better at using it in the last few weeks.
• Meal time has gotten a lot easier this month. You love chicken, turkey, fish sticks, snacks, oranges, PB&J, & oatmeal. You don't really like avocados, but maybe you'll learn to love them. We have been trying to give you more table foods and you try most things eventually. We have to work with you, but it's getting easier.
• You are talking a lot more. You say "dada", "mama", "bye", "uh oh", and sometimes you will say a few other words. You also have been saying "all done" and "down" after you eat. 
• You know what you want, when you want it and if you don't get it you get so mad. Such the lil diva. Ha!
• You still don't walk yet, but it won't be long. You are more comfortable and confident being on your feet and love to cruise around. You even stood up and balanced you self without assistance yesterday so I know walking is around the corner.
• You cut another tooth on the bottom this past week so you have 5 now.
• You have such a sweet and funny personality. Everyone just can't get enough of you.

Can't wait to see all the changes you'll make this month.
