19 Months

Hannah, you are almost 20 months old. You are totally growing into such a sweet, spunky and funny little girl. There are only glimpses of my little baby. You are truly such a little person now and not a baby anymore.  Life still moves so fast, but I'm really enjoying this stage of your precious life.

19 Month Stats:
  • Weight: 24bs 9oz
  • Height: 31.5"
  • You have curly dark blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes
  • You wear 12-18, 18 month,  and some 24 month clothes. 2T is still too big
  • You wear a size 4 diaper.
  • You wear a Size 5.5 Toddler shoe moving into a 6 soon
  • You go to bed around 7:30pm and sleep til about 7am. This month the time changed and you haven't quite gotten use to it yet. You also have a bad cold right now and haven't been sleeping that well. I'm getting some late night/early morning snuggle time with you.
  • You eat 3 meals a day and eat one or two snacks
  • You love anything that is breaded or just bread. Love those Carbs just like Daddy. Ha!
  • You are still enjoying almond milk
  • You are really a great walker now. You also climb up on things.
  • You have 14 teeth? I think one more is about to break through. I really have no idea though.
  • You don't let me brush your teeth easily. You let your daddy do it sometimes.
  • You still have been such a Mama's girl this month.
  • You can bee so silly at times, but you are very shy around strangers.
  • You love to try new games. Ring-Around-The-Rosy and "Wheels on the Bus" are your faves. You like to say "ashes" "ashes" and then fall down. So cute!!!
  • You LOVE Veggie Tales. It's my sanity
  • We went to Ruidoso, NM this month and you had a great time.
  • You are saying a few more phrases. "I see you" is one you said the other night.
  • You have a better vocabulary than some two year olds I think. Here are a list of words you say. I think you have roughly 80 words in your vocabulary.
Mama, Mommy, Dada, Daddy, Teensy, Box, Book, Cookie, Juice, Mine, No, Yes, Hi, Bye, Hurt, Paci, Eat, Water, Bird, Sun, Dog, Tree, Ball, Diaper, Blankie, Apple, Apple Sauce, Nose, Ear, Eye, Toes, Mouth (Can identify all) Bear, Baby, Veggie Tales, Outside, All Done, More, Please, Thank You and so many more I can't think of right now.
  • Halloween wasn't too fun. You are still too young to understand what's going on and didn't like to have your face painted or all the people walking around with scary costumes. You looked really cute though in your black kitty costume.
  • We are loving your new Day Care. You love it too. Your teachers are sweet and you do so much more than you did at your old day care. I'm so thankful.
  • You are very attached to your pacifier. You are always asking for "paci?"
  • You are still the runny nose baby.
  • Cousin Harlan came for another visit. You showed him how to play.
  • You love to play outside. It's not going to be fun for you when it's too cold to go outside
  • Thinking about introducing the potty to you soon. Would love to have you completely potty trained by 26-28 months. We'll see.
  • Daddy bought a seat that attaches to his bike so you can go on rides with him. You love it!!! He loves it too.

We are taking your first plane ride to Dallas on Friday for Harlan's first birthday party. I hope it goes well, but I'm going to be very prepared for the worst. Ha! I will post soon about the party, our new family photos and 19 Month photo shoot.

Baby Finley Shower

A few weeks ago I told you guys about a baby shower I hosted. Well I finally have photos to share from that event.

The baby shower was a "Little Man" theme. There is something to cherish about sweet and simple showers, and this was one of those.
I started the planning based off the bedding the mom-to-be had shown me for her baby boy's nursery. Beautiful and classic navy and white. From there the invitation was designed and from there I created a menu, a color scheme and gathered things I already had around my house to create this truly wonderful and whimsical event.

When guest arrived they were greeted with a display of classic children's books and an arrangement of balloons on the banister. To there left, was a sign in table with wishing tree. Each guest was to fill out a card with a wish to the baby and/or parents and then clothes pin it to our tree. So cute. I loved all the little details.

In the dining room we set up the food table. The menu included a veggie & fruit trays, guacamole and blue corn chips, bow tie pasta, a cupcake tower and the cutest display of delicious cookies. All my co-workers helped out with the food and it was so good. Simply Decadent Bakery made all the goodies. Krista Bailey truly has a gift for baking. Their goodies are always so cute and so yummy.

We ate, they opened gifts, and just had a great time. Such a sweet way to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a very loved little boy. Can't wait to meet little Sam.

18 Months

Hannah you will be 19 Months on Tuesday, so I thought I better update for your 18 month post. 18 Months has been such a sweet month. Your little personality has truly developed and you are such a fun and precious little girl. We truly can't get enough of you. We switched Day Care's on you this month, and while it has been a transition for you (mostly for me), you really have been doing well and are happy.

Here is this month's stats:
  • Weight: 24bs
  • Height: 31.5"
  • You have curly dark blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes
  • You wear 12-18, 18 month,  and some 24 month clothes. 2T is still too big
  • You wear a size 4 diaper. It's really a challenge to change your diaper. You are such a wiggle worm
  • You wear a Size 5 shoe
  • You go to bed around 7:30pm and sleep til about 7:30-8am. Most nights you are so ready to go to bed, you beg us to put you in it. You then close your eyes and fall asleep. You are a dream to get to bed. I hope this continues.
  • You eat 3 meals a day and eat one or two snacks
  • You have been trying more foods this month so that has been great.
  • You love drinking from your sippy cup.
  • You are still enjoying almond milk
  • You are really a great walker now. You also climb up on things.
  • You have 14 teeth?
  • You don't let me brush your teeth easily. You let your daddy do it sometimes.
  • You have been such a Mama's girl this month.
  • You can bee so silly at times, but you are very shy around strangers.
  • You started spinning in circles and making yourself laugh. It's so fun.
  • You like Veggie Tales and sing along (sort of) to some of the songs.
  • Your first sentence happened this month. You said "Mama, I wanna go outside"
  • You say so many words now. You really are aware of what's going on and try to communicate with us. I love how you are always talking even if I can't understand you most of the time.
  • You are so independent. You know your routine and you are pretty good at sticking to eat.
  • You are quite attached to your pacifier. You always say "paci?" Oh boy, it's not going to be fun weaning you from it.
  • You aren't signing as much as you use to. You would rather just tell me what you want.
  • This has been a runny nose month. But it really hasn't affected your mood.
  • You love to play outside.
