Family Photos
A few weeks ago my friend and co-worker Linda took some wonderful family photos for us. She really did a great job. I hadn't had any professional photos taken of our family since Hannah was about Hudson's age. It was about time we had some new ones taken!

Hudson 18 Months!!!
Hudson is 18 months old now! A year and 1/2, how can this be? He's really changing so much. I can believe in just a few short months we'll have a two year old. I'm sad my baby is diapering before my eyes, but such a funny sweet and charming little toddler is emerging. Hudson is my joy. He's trouble with a capital T for sure, but he's so fun to be around. He's very smart, funny, fearless. Basically he's all boy and needs constant attention. Ha! We are working with him not to bite and hit. I've never raised a boy before, but I think it's in their DNA to be destructive. I find myself often saying "Hudson be a sweet boy." He can be very sweet at times and so cuddly and loving. Here's what he's up to at 18 months.

18 Month Update
Weight: 24lbs 2oz (25% for weight)
Height: Almost 32in (30% for height)

Features: You have dark hazel eyes. You have blonde hair that curls up in the back. You are getting more hair. You have lots of teeth, lots of dimples and are just so handsome.

Clothes: You haven't grown much in the last few months so some 12 month stuff still fits but for the most part you are wearing 12-18 month clothes and 18 month stuff. You wear a size 5 shoe.

Sleep: We still struggle with sleep consistency. Sometimes you sleep like a rock star and other times not so much. You've been feeling so much better so you sleep a lot better these days. I don't rock you to sleep anymore. Some nights you go to sleep easily and other nights not so much. You sometimes sleep through the night and we like those nights.

Eating: You eat most everything we do. Your favorite foods are strawberries, oranges, bananas, turkey, sweet potato fries, chicken nuggets, waffles, toast, eggs, applesauce, cheese puffs, crackers, and hot dogs. You drink organic Silk Soy Milk. You still take a bottle of the soy milk at night, but we are saying bye bye bottles this weekend.

Likes: You still love your bath. You love to splash all the water out of the bathtub and think it's so funny when Mama or Mimi get soaking wet. You also love to splash in the baby pool. You love your sister and and want to do everything she does. You love to climb up on things and get into things you shouldn't. You love to throw things. You like music. You love being outside. You love to run and swing your bat and golf clubs. You love animals. You love to look at books but get bored easily and throw them. You love your mama but daddy has been your favorite lately. You like the park and think you are a big kid and climb to the top of the slide. You make me nervous because you are so fearless.

Hudson you are my love bug. I didn't know how much I wanted a son until I had you. You keep me on my toes for sure, but my life is fuller with you in it. You are the perfect piece to our family. We love you sweet boy!

Milestones:
You are on the move. You run now not walk. You can feed yourself. You clap and sing. You say new words all the time. At 18 months you talk really clearly. You say "hi" "bye bye" "no" "please" "thank you" "Mama" "Dada" "Hannah" "car" "truck" "tree" "Teensy" "Mimi" "Papa" "down" "all done" "mine" "eye" "nose" "cow" "blankie" "bath" "banana" "side (outside)" "fish" "baba (bottle)" "me" "hair" "cup" "ice" "brush" "trash" "Nemo" "sorry" "book" "more" "ball" and can repeat most words and short phrases. I think you picked up language easily because of big sister. You want to do everything she's doing. You can identify parts of your body (head, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, fingers, toes) You know what the cow says and what a dinosaur says. We are working on other animal sounds. You are changing so much and really soaking up everything right now.

Hudson you are my love bug. I didn't know how much I wanted a son until I had you. You keep me on my toes for sure, but my life is fuller with you in it. You are the perfect piece to our family. We love you sweet boy!

Catching Up
Goodness gracious where does the time go? I haven't blogged in two months. Life just gets away from me and this little time capsule of our lives gets neglected for sure. We are busy. I don't know if I have ever been this busy at work. By the time I get home, play with the kids, get them fed bathed to bed and Brandon and I eat dinner, it's already 10 o'clock and I'm ready to crash. But I think it's important to document our life so here's an update of the last few months.
Brandon and I celebrated 6 years of marriage on March 21st. Honestly it really is the most natural relationship I've ever had and 6 years has flown by. We've been together for 8 1/2 years and we are truly best friends and still very much in love. We have so much fun. We're still learning about each other and growing in our relationship all the time. He gets me. All of me. And I get him. We just click. I can't wait to see what God does in the next 6 years of our lives together as we grow as a couple and navigate this crazy life together.

On our anniversary, we spent the day at the Fort Worth Zoo with my brother and his family. It was a blast. The kids just played and played. It's so much fun when they all get together.
We spent a few days with them and then traveled to Houston to see Brandon's Grandma. She's doing so well for 96 years old and so enjoyed getting to see the kids.

On March 23rd our sweet girl turned 4. Hannah Kate at 4 years old is total cuteness and sass all at the same time. She is hilarious and says the funniest things all the time. She's also very spirited. She has lots of emotions that sometimes she doesn't know what to do with them. She can be very dramatic but also very sweet. She's getting so big and learning so much.
We celebrated her birthday for like a month. Girl was spoiled for sure. She deserves it :) I love having her for a daughter. She's the best big sister and loves her little brother so much. They play so well together. I'm so blessed!
Hudson is now 16 months. I can't believe it. He's turning into a little boy right before our eyes. He is the sweetest little love bug around. He's so affectionate to everyone. He's constantly giving us kisses and hugs. He's so handsome and smart. I just love him. He makes me happy.
He had his ear tubes put in March 26th. Surgery and recovery went really well except for scary bleeding incident the day after surgery. He got a great report last Friday. So far, it's been a really great decision for us.
Easter was so wonderful this year. We had a great time spending the weekend with family. The weather was really beautiful too.
Hudson started full time walking a few weeks ago. It's made life more fun now that he can just get up and go.
I'm in a women's group called If:Table. It's amazing! A group of 6 moms gathered around a table once a month sharing a simple meal and having Christ centered conversations. We laugh a lot, cry some, and go really deep with each other. Every time I leave the table I feel fuller than when I came in. It's just a good place to fill my spiritual cup.(Acts 2:46)
I'm also starting an 8 week Bible study with some of them. We're going through Jennie Allen's book stuck. Should be really good.
That's a little bit of what's going on. Life's not slowing down anytime soon. I love my life. I'm so grateful for all my blessings. For our family, marriage, friends, church, community. We have it pretty great and I never want to take anything for granted.

This was the first road trip for Hudson. At times it was a real
challenge, but we made it across Texas and back and I'm so glad we
decided to do this. It was so great to see everyone.

| I made this birthday card for her and sent it in to Sprout. They read it on TV and Chica wished her Happy Birthday! It was a hit with the 4 year old for sure. |
