Well we made it through another 1st holiday, Halloween :) I had Hannah's costume planned for a while now. Pics of her in the chicken costume are in my last post. You see, Brandon has called Hannah "Chicken" since she was really tiny. I thought it was only appropriate she be a chicken for her 1st Halloween.
I looked at a few chicken costumes online before finding this one for less than $10. I thought it was such a steal since some of the ones I saw were $30 or higher. She didn't really care for wearing her costume, but I thought she looked so sweet in it. I was happy I got so many cute photos of her wearing it.

I wasn't so sure how Monday night was going to go. The plan was to leave work at 5pm and pick her up from day care. Then we would go over to my grandma's place and show her off while all the residents were eating. Then we would go out to Gary's church for their fall festival. I was hoping then we would be back early enough to show her off to the neighbors before she would be ready for bed.
Well, I should have known everything wouldn't go as planned. I picked her up a little after 5pm as planned, but soon as I got her home she was ready for a bottle. After feeding her, I put her in her costume. My co-worker and his wife stopped by to see her after that. They love HK :) We were running a little late but we managed to get over to Mamere's before 6pm.

She wasn't really happy to put the costume on, but all the "old folks" thought she was the cutest thing ever. I would have to agree.
We stayed about 15 minutes and were off to our next location. But on the way to the church we heard a loud wet exploding sound come from the back seat. I knew at that moment, we had had a blow out. Oh no!!!
What you are about to read may be too much information. Reader discretion advised!!!
We got to the church and we were going to change her diaper, but as Brandon unbuckled her we saw a trail of watery poo covering her backside. It was everywhere and I knew our night was over.

We went home and changed her. Most parents would probably call it quits after that, but I was determined not to let a little poop ruin the "plan". So I put her back in her chicken costume and strolled her around the neighborhood. We were outside a total of 15 minutes before she started crying. It was pretty unpleasant to say the least. But she sure looked cute :)
I know there will be many more Halloween's, but I wanted to document her 1st. My baby is growing up, but she's still a baby and she sure did act like it this night. She makes our life so interesting. There is never a dull moment and I wouldn't trade it for anything. We love you little Chicken :)
