Well my brother and sister-in-law are the proud parents of twin baby girls!!! Everything is just perfect.
Mom and I drove to Dallas on Jan. 20 and the twins were born the next day, Monday Jan. 21.
We got to their house that Sunday and enjoyed time with family and
checked out the babies' nursery. Britt has such great style and did an awesome job with their room.
Everything is so beautiful.

We then had a mini shower for them and that was really fun.

The next day was the big day. Brittany and Jonathan were both fighting colds but the doctor still wanted to go through with the delivery. They had to be at the hospital by 10am for the scheduled c-section. We were all a little nervous (ok a lot nervous) going into it. Not knowing really what to expect had us all on edge.

They got prepped and by noon they were ready to head back to the OR. Mom and I plus Britt's parents, sister, & brother were all in the waiting room anxiously waiting to hear the good news.

The wait was so nerve wracking, but finally around 1:30pm my brother sent us this picture.

They were here and perfect and just beautiful. Talk about a wave of emotions. All we had prayed for had come true. My nieces were here, they were healthy (No NICU Time!), Britt was doing great (and looking so beautiful), and that's all we could ask for.

A little bit later my brother came out to show off his girls.
We got to see them through the nursery window and they were so cute!!!
It was love at first sight for this auntie. They are identical,
but you could tell them a part because Henley is a lot smaller than
Hollis. They were both so tiny, but I couldn't get over how healthy and
perfect they both looked.
We went and grabbed a bite to eat and then came back later to see them some more. The twins spent the
first 24 hours pretty much in the nursery under the warming lamps.
Overall they were very healthy, but just needed some extra monitoring.
Their pediatrician came by to examine them and told my brother that
because he was sick, he would need to spend the night at home and not
with Britt and the babies in the hospital. This was a little bit of a
shock, but it was the best thing for the babies.

We had fun chasing this guy around the waiting room. He had no clue how much his life had changed that day. He was just having fun. Ha!

The next day we went over to my brother's house to say goodbye to my sweet nephew and Britt's family. Harlan is such a good big brother for such a "little" guy.

We then went back up to the hospital before heading home. When we got there Henley was in the nursery so we could see her. Because of her small size we weren't allowed to hold her :( The nurse did hold her up close to the window though :) Love you sweet girl!!!

We did get to hold her sister though. We had to wear a mask, but it was so worth it. Can't wait to go back to Dallas so I can hold both of them.

We knew the babies were going to have some hair. They saw it on an ultrasound before they were born. So when my brother first brought the girls out to meet all of us, the nurse who was with him decided to take their little hats off and showed us their hair. What a shock! Little bleach blonde beauties. So funny! They both have it and it's so precious.
It was such a quick trip. I was really sad to leave and I miss them so much. Everyone is doing really well. They've been home from the hospital for one week and will be two weeks old on Monday.
My wish for these girls would be to always cherish each other, mind their parents, and love others. I hope we will always be close and that Hannah will love having twin girl cousins to grow up with.
