Jesus Thank You Amen

Hannah will be two in less than three weeks. It's so hard to believe. It's crazy to think of where we've been and where we are today. She's so special to us.

Lately she's been really observant and starting to respond to questions we ask her or things we do. I don't want to forget this so I'm writing a few down why it's on my mind.

The other day she woke up and I went to get her out of bed she said in a joyful voice, "Mommy!" "Oh Hi Mommy"

She tried green olives the other day and liked them. My child will eat green olives and salad but won't eat ice cream. Silly girl.

She loves to dance and twirl. I see some late night dance parties in our future for sure.

Lately we've been introducing her to prayer. We pray with her at meal time and before bed. Last night I said a prayer over her and at the end she said "Jesus, thank you. Amen" It really touched this Mama's heart for sure.

I love it when she says "please". She signs please which is running her hand across her chest. It's just precious. I want her to have good manners so we are starting her early. I also think its great that when someone sneezes she already knows to say "bless you" So cute.

I love it when when I ask her what sound the elephant makes and she raises her arm like an elephant's trunk and says "Woo" For the most part she gets her animal sounds right the first time, but if she gets confused the sound she will make about 99% of the time is the cow sound. "Hannah, what sound does the chicken make?" "Umm, moo!"

She is so meticulous. She lines things up in order. She loves to line up all her bath animal toys on the bathtub ledge. She also does this with stickers, leaves outside and her stuffed animals. I wonder what that says about her personality?

She recently is obsessed with us doing the piggy game. You know "this little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home..." She flashes her feet at us every chance she gets and says "Piggies, Piggies!" and gets so tickled when we say "we we we all the way home" It's become apart of our nightly routine.

The funniest thing is when she puts her stuffed animals in time out. She will say "no, no" kiss them and put them in a corner and say "bye" Such a bossy mommy. I'm sure she didn't learn that from me. Ha!

I love how she named all her little plastic lego people Sally and her puppy Bella. She also sleeps with a green monkey named monkey. He's her favorite. I had a monkey growing up and he was my favorite.

The other day we went to the park. It was such fun time. There wasn't much equipment that she could use but she loved just running around the area and seeing all the big kids climb. She would squeal with delight when I would chase her and peek her head around the corner and say "I see you" It's her favorite game right now. So magical.

The days of sweet baby wrinkles, precious squeaky noises and late night feedings are gone. I didn't appreciate those memories the way I should have. I didn't soak them up or breathe them in the way she deserved. I'm doing it now. I'm falling in love with my child more and more every day. I want to create great experiences for her. I want her to look back when she's older and say my childhood was magical. I want her to remember and enjoy the small things in life. I want to enjoy and remember them too.
