What a weekend! I'm so tired after this busy weekend. It was a memorable one though, so I thought I would do a recap.

My Lil Red Raider
Saturday, I went shoe shopping for the hundredth time (slight exaggeration) for Hannah. I'm so sick of buying shoes for this kid that she hates and won't wear. So finally I decided to go to Lil' Footprints and buy shoes I knew would fit and she'll wear. I think I spent close to $60 for two pairs of shoes, but it's worth it. That store is awesome and the lady who helped us was
SO helpful and friendly. She said Hannah's feet are really narrow and flat which makes shoe buying a challenge. That explains why she is so picky about her feet.
After that, mom, HK and I stopped by my sister-in-laws folks house to squeeze a quick visit in with my brother and his family. I hadn't seen him, Britt or the twins since April so I was really looking forward to seeing them. Hannah had a blast playing with Harlan's toys and I had a blast loving on my sweet nieces and nephew. Love them so much.

We then went home for a little rest before heading off to the Texas Tech tailgate and first home game. UMC was the game day sponsor and we got tickets to a special tailgate and the game. I decided HK was old enough and I was going to attempt to take her to her first Tech game.
We had a great time at the tailgate and made our way to stadium. The walk to the stadium was okay, but the climb to our seats was really hard for this pregnant mommy. I carried her the whole way. I was really winded and hot by the time we sat down.

After the climb
Hannah settled into the stadium really well and made friends with the folks sitting in front of us. Then I felt a drastic drop in temperature and saw an ominous looking cloud headed our way. I decided to go back down and wait out the rain. But by the time I got back down, the announcer came on the loud speaker saying they were delaying game because of lightening until further notice. I knew right then it was time to get my baby out of there.

I called Brandon to come rescue us and then made my way through the sea of red and black to the exit gate. I carried her a pretty good distance and was so relieved to see Brandon pulling up outside the stadium. It was Hannah's first game day experience and we didn't even get to see the kickoff. Oh well. I tried. We won 61-13. Wreck'Em Tech!!!

The sea of people I had to get through
Sunday, we got up and headed to breakfast and then to church. We were tired from the night before, so we decided to go to the late service at 11:30am instead of the 10am one we usually go to. When we got to Hannah's class she refused to go in. She screamed and cried like she's never done, so we decided not to torture her and take her with us into the church service. She was really good for all the music, but started getting rowdy and restless when it came time to pray. Brandon decided to take her back to her class, but said to come find them if he wasn't back in 10 minutes. We left 10 minutes later and never heard the sermon. Oh well. I tried. That's the theme of my weekend. Ha!
Later that afternoon (because we lost our minds) we decided it would be fun to take Hannah to the Science Spectrum Museum. And because we are glutton for punishment, we thought it would be fun to take Harlan too. So mom, Brandon, and I loaded two toddlers into his pickup and headed to the museum. It was actually a lot of fun. Overall it was a good experience, but toddlers have their limits, so we only stayed about an hour. By the time we went over to Mamere's, dropped Harlan back home, and got back to our house I was ready to pass out. However, it was our nieces 16th birthday party so we only rested for about 20 minutes and we off to that party.

This weekend, my Nana is coming in from Nebraska. It should be busy, but hopefully I won't be running around as much as I was this weekend.
