Hudson Man is 2 1/2!!!

Well almost. He will be on Saturday. Wow! When did my baby turn into a little boy? I wish I could stop time right now and enjoy this time in his life for just a little longer. It's so fun. He's not a baby anymore, but still needs me and wants me to hold him and love on him. Here's an update on our sweet boy.

HUDSON JACOB  2 1/2 UPDATE:

Weight:
26 lbs (skinny boy)
Height:
34.5"

Features:
You have dark hazel eyes and wavy light blonde hair. You are so handsome. You are also very strong and run so cute. You have almost all your teeth now. Last two molars are popping through. Speaking of teeth. You just had your 2nd dentist appointment and all looks good!

Clothes:
You have no hiney like your sissy. So you still wear a lot of 18 & 24 months clothes. We are pushing you into some size 2T things finally though. You wear a size 6 shoe. And the most exciting thing to add to your wardrobe are your big boy underwear.

Potty Training:
That's right! You are about 90% potty trained. Your keep your underwear dry and pee in the potty all day long and wake up dry in the mornings. Poop is our problem. Sometimes you get it, but most the time you still have poop accidents in your underwear. Eww! You were so easy to potty train. At 28 months you decided you wanted to pee in the little potty so we just rolled with it and didn't look back. You've had accidents sure, but you were so easy to train compared to big sis.

Sleep:
You are a great sleeper. You transitioned into a big boy bed about the time you decided to start potty training. You love your little twin bed your Papaw got you. It's so cozy. You now go to bed at the same time as Hannah around 8:15-8:30pm and sleep til 7:30am-8am. It's nice!

Eating:
You are picky like big sis, but are more willing to try new things. You love breakfast food. Eggs, pancakes, muffins, bacon, cereal, and of course bananas. You would eat 3 a day if we let you. It's insane! You like most fruit. Your favorite meal is probably corn dogs and french fries.

Personality:
At two and half you have the confidence and charisma of a kid Hannah's age. You don't care how little you are you think you are one of the big kids. No fear! You love people. You love making new friends and are so friendly to everyone we meet. You ask questions and love to entertain. You are so smart and funny. You can really perform to a crowd. You just love to be loved. You are loud at times, but mostly you are pretty calm.

You can turn on the drama and the whiniest though. You can throw a fit with the best of them. You still love to be held and cuddle. All your teachers love you at daycare because you give the best hugs and bring the charm. Basically you are a big flirt. You are extremely affectionate and loving. You just love your family and love being around people.

Likes: Being outside, playing in water, ice cream, books, trucks, and small animals. You are terrified of big dogs. You do like to pretend you are a kitty though. You love superheroes. You pretty much think you are batman. You love wearing your cape and finding things to use as weapons. You also love ninja turtles. Did I mention you have no fear? You love going to the playground and climbing to the tallest part and sliding down the slides. You think it's funny when your mama almost has a panic attack watching you. You love playing with your sissy and she's including you in her playtime more and more.

Hudson you truly are this mama's dream come true. You complete are family so well. I just love you so much and can't imagine life without you. You keep me on my toes and keep my guessing, but that's all a part of raising a boy. Can't wait to see what the next 6 months will hold for you as you get closer to turning 3!!!

Hannah's 5th Birthday Party

Hannah turned FIVE on March 23rd. To celebrate we went all out this year and had her first true friends party at Blazing Bouncers. It was so much fun! Hannah would rather have a Peppa Pig or Barbie party, but I prefer a more neutral party theme. So I decided to do a Funfetti Fifth Birthday theme. It turned out so cute!

Details:
Green and White Dot Table Cloths, Plates, Cups, Napkins and Balloons from Shop Sweet Lulu
Gold Happy Birthday Banner, Cake Toppers, Gold Forks & Cupcake Wrappers from Hobby Lobby
Black & White Stripe Cloths from Walmart
Black & White Stripe Straws & Treat Bags from Target

Can't believe our girl is FIVE. She's changed so much in the last five years. Here's a look back at some of her past birthdays.

Hannah Kate Is 5!!!

On the night you were born the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered, "Life will never be the same." Because there had never been anyone like you ever in the world. ~ Nancy Tillman

And life my dear Hannah has not been the same since that night you were born (11:33pm to be exact). When you asks me about her birth, I no longer focus in on the struggle it was or how painful it was. I simply say, "You were so happy being inside my mama's belly and were so cozy that you just decided you didn't want to be born". We both laugh because you love getting cozy. Then you say, "But I came out and I'm here now!" Yes you are my sweet girl! Yes you are!

And for the past five years we have laughed, cried, played, argued at times, and grown together. You have taught me so much. How to be a better mother and how to be a better person. I really like you and I like the person I am when I'm with you. You challenge me in my patience some times and make me laugh all the time. You are so beautiful inside and out.

You are sensitive and sweet. You love to make jokes and be silly too. You are cautious with new things, but will try most things with a little coaxing. You are such a helper. You love your brother so much and are such a great big sister. Your Daddy is by far your favorite person. You love spending time with him every chance you can. He is your hero. You have a great bond with all your family. You love your cousins. You love getting together with them and playing. It's so fun to watch.

I can't believe you are going to Kindergarten this fall. You are very excited about that. I think you will be ready. You have had a great year in Pre K so I'm feeling confident you will do well next year too. You like school, you just don't like getting up for school in the mornings. You are NOT a morning person. You get that from both your parents. Ha!

I love you with all my heart Hannah Kate! You make life so wonderful! My life has truly never been the same since you made your entrance into this world 5 years ago. Can't wait to see all the wonderful things you will accomplish in the year to come :)

Love, Mama

Our Sweet Teensy Girl

We had to make the difficult decision to put our Teensy down last week. We have been struggling over it for awhile but neither Brandon or I were ready to do it. She was only 10 1/2 years old. We had been seeing a decline in her health though for awhile. She didn't have as much energy as she use to. She was having difficulties getting up off her back legs and she was not holding her bladder or bowels. She was also going blind and running into walls. It was just time. But it sucks and we're hurting.

I got Teensy for a companion while I was still in college. I really had no business buying a puppy, but she was so cute. I fell in love. She was just this little black and white round plump with a pink nose. As cute as she was though, she was equally as destructive. She destroyed the carpet in two of my apartments, chewed up so many pairs of shoes as a puppy, broke two metal kennels, tore up my mom's couch, and so many other things.

When Brandon and I first started dating I was worried it might be a deal breaker that I had a dog. Fortunately for me, he accepted her as his own dog and together we have built a life together. She was our first baby before we had babies.

Teensy was so good with my kids. Bringing a new baby home from the hospital is stressful and the last thing you want to worry about is how your dog will react. Teensy just ignored Hannah and Hudson which was a good thing when they were so small. As they grew she grew to love them and they loved her so much.

We are heartbroken, but we know it was the right thing to do and we have peace about it. We will miss our Teensy girl :(

My Funny Valentines

I just love these two. They make life so sweet!
