Gender Reveal

IT'S A BOY!!!
We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a little boy. I still can't believe it. After having a little girl it's hard to imagine a little boy running around too. But I'm so excited and up for this new adventure. We'll play Princesses and Pirates. Dolls and Dinosaurs. Ballet and Baseball. Wow, one of each. We are truly blessed and so thankful for another healthy baby.

Our appointment was at 2pm yesterday. Let me just say it's so hard to wait all day for your appointment and then we had to wait another 30 minutes in the lobby. It was just torture. Thankfully we got the ultrasound tech I was hoping and praying to get. She really is a pro at her job and so so friendly. Which was not our experience at our 12 week appointment.

She started off and right away she noticed that the baby was breech. She told us right then that everything was fine, but it might be difficult to see the necessary boy or girl parts. She started at the top and worked her way down the baby's body. Looking at all parts of the anatomy. It was so awesome to see his brain, his spine, his hands, his heart, and we even got to see his kidneys. Though I'm pretty sure they just looked like little black blobs.

Then she said she was going to try and get a good look between the legs. A few little shakes and she asked, "Can you tell what it is?" I squealed at the sight of something peaking out between the legs, "Is it a boy?" She said YES. Then I just began to cry and Brandon and I just looked at each other beaming. It was such a sweet sweet moment and one I'll always treasure.

We got to see him moving around. Hear his sweet heartbeat (138bpm). She said he also weighed about 13oz. We even saw his arm above his head and he was playing with is feet. It was so cute. We got several glimpses at his face. Way more I thought than we did with Hannah. And there is one pic I really think he looks like big sis.

We can't wait to meet this boy in December. Our precious son, Hudson Jacob Hughes. This is the boy name we chose when we were pregnant with Hannah. We still love it. You can read about it here.
